The Mount celebrates Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2020, by providing lunch and a gift as a token of the Mount's appreciation for veteran service.

Mount St. Joseph News

The Mount has partnered with Jets Pizza on Delhi Pike for a Veteran’s Day celebration on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2020, to provide lunch and a gift as a token of the Mount's appreciation for veteran service.

The event will be a grab ‘n go lunch of a small one-topping pizza with a 20 ounce drink between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Pizza is available to all MSJ veteran students and alumni. Gifts are available to the first 46 MSJ veterans who register and attend. Additionally, Chick-fil-A provided a coupon card for a free sandwich to the first 46 who register.

“It means a lot to me that MSJ gives back to their Veterans,” says alum Gerald Rauen, ’13, ’16. “One of the reasons I chose MSJ after retiring from the U.S. Navy was due to MSJ being a “yellow ribbon” school. From the start of my college experience until 6 ½ years later when I earned my master’s degree, I always felt supported and part of something special. I would recommend the Mount to any Veteran (or anyone for that matter) wishing to continue their education. I am proud to have served my country for 20 years and I am proud to call myself a Mount Alum!”
